Hey, I'm Gem!
I'm an eternal optimist, foodie, have fomo, have the travel bug, and I'm an enneagram 7, meaning I'm motivated by fun, which is basically this job so I feel super lucky to be doing what I love:)
I've had a love affair with photography since I was little. Finally, I took a chance and started my business in 2021 and it's been the best thing ever!
I've been trying to be better about living in the present. No moment, day, event, etc, is EVER the same! I love that pictures help us feel and remember again:)
- I lived in Germany for a year and half and learned to speak the language. I knew I had to incorporate my love for the German language somehow, so I named my business FotoGems!
- I'm married to the hottest man ever, sorry not sorry! We eloped in 2020:) His name is Charlie and if you're lucky you'll get to meet him as he'll sometimes tag along with me!
- I grew up in Utah and learned to love the outdoors! I've loved exploring new places in the Bay Area and think that both Utah and California are photographer’s playgrounds:)
- When I’m not doing photography, I’m probably eating or outdoors! I play volleyball, hike, workout, do yoga, travel, you name it. If it's fun, I'm there:)
